The Night the Angels Fell Asleep

Cumulus clouds shadow upon the valley
Dropping rains of fear to the souls below
Not long ago their dreams almost awashed
By unforgiving blows, by continuous blasts.

Brown lips thirsty of fresh food and water
When their knees are poled within two feet
Of murky water bringing creeping disease
Killing slowly, painfully and even unsightly.

On drier grounds, candlelights glimmer
Keeping its flame alit even in chilled air
Glowing over lifeless bodies lying cold and pale
Amidst grieving kin with dreams already dwindling.

Has the heaven already closed its Pearly Gates?
Has the Angels all gone resting and asleep?
Has Trinity turned its face to the opposite?
Or have people forgot its purpose of life on Earth?

Is it Heaven’s intention to flood the grassy plains?
Or it did brought rain to nurture all trees below
Where people find it easier to cut and deplete
Than to grow them and share with nature around?

Is it Heaven’s intention to let people perish
And let their love ones grieve over their burial?
Or it is these poor soul’s wrongdoings and ill-purpose
That led them to the black dirt and deep ground.

Did the Angels got tired of looking down
And pray for all our miseries and tragedies?
Or the did Maker gave us the liberty and will
To pursue our destinies, our plans and our dreams.

Did the Maker just lost his love for Humanity?
Or is He just sending signals beyond our thoughts?
Do our prayers do not reach Heaven anymore?
Or our pleads was just not pure so left unheard?

Are we to blame the Maker, the Angels and Heaven?
As we inter our loved ones to the gray cold pit?
Or do we need to face upon a looking glass
And thought of the things that we can aspire?

We live in a circle of sadness and happiness
Failure and success, love and hate and many more
Things and nature balance by themselves
It is for us to choose what road to take.
