The Gathering at the Woods

Now the Feast has ended and each brother traced back his trail
To each Kingdom and domain where their subjects wait with frill,
To keep the fire flaming among the brothers who gave utmost care
Son of Neocles left with an invitation to the band from the middle.

That on the evening of when the Savior has stumbled and suffered
On a slope of a rugged mountain where the heavens have showered
The firm earth with rolling grass and spiny trees that towered,
Amidst the clouds resting upon the crown of a silent eerie wonder.

As the night clouds turned dark and the warm winds turned to cold
Three knights from South came altogether, tired, yet ready to unfold
Waiting for them was Themistocles, renowned Lord of the Manobos
Who led them to the Castle shared by the Princess of Facial Woes.

As the three knights settled, host prepared a hearty evening meal
Everything was set right to the last piece, except for the thin bread
So toasted like a softwood left burning so it turned into a black coal
Yet everyone just gave it a wild smile, too small to be taken afoul.

The last of the waited knight soon came from the realm of mountains
He had traveled far where the summer met the showering fountains
Tired, yet his spirits was shouting with the sights of brothers waiting
Sleepy, yet he stayed fully awake until the sun broke into its shining.

The silent night was filled with each other’s breath, tale and laughter
Spirits of the frothy beer helped them loosen up their mind and fear
Bringing a discussion so wild, vivid, that not everyone can muster
Yet the words flowed like rivers towards the open ocean unfiltered.

Personal views from Heaven and Earth were shared and debated
Including those of God, the heathens, agnostics and the people hated
Even politics and the famed and the fools that will shape the Royalty
All is different, yet all souls agreed to only focus on commonalities.

As everyone retired and their bloated body gave to peaceful recall
Floating in tranquility, their minds trekked the paths away from Sheol
Believing in themselves that real brothers must at first be real people
Can walk unashamed. With no fear! Can conquer! Yet forever mindful!

Bro, you never fail to amaze me with your ability to weave words so effortlessly ... both in english and in vernacular.

The vacation we had made an imprint to me... that we may have differences in terms of our upbringing and philosophy but we remain solid as far as our friendship is concerned.

I guess one of the reasons why we hit it off is our respect for our individuality and our affection for our great fraternity.

I am looking forward to our next sojourn.. hopefully Marinduque
